Byakaron for Linux

IBus keyboard and companion app for Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04, and24.04 (amd64 and arm64). One command installs the keyboard,the app, and spell-check.

curl -fsSL https://nuhulabs.com/byakaron/install.sh | sudo bash

Then Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources → + → Bangla →Byakaron (Bangla Phonetic) → Add. Switch with Super+Space.

  1. Paste the command in a terminal
  2. Enter your password when sudo asks
  3. Add Byakaron in Keyboard settings
  4. Type ami then Space → আমি
